This means that whenever a gas engineer carries out work on your property, by law they must be on the Gas Safe Register.
Gas safety in the home and workplace is not something you can compromise. If you don’t have your gas appliances checked by a Gas Safe registered engineer you are risking your life. The Gas Safe Register exists to ensure gas safety for you, your family and your property.

It's a cleaning process designed specifically to clean the rust and dirt out of your heating radiators and pipework. It usually takes around 6 to 8 hours for up to 10 radiators and if done properly and the correct chemicals are used the effects can last well over 20 years.

Having a new boiler fitted? If you read the installation instructions they will inform you that in order to validate the guarantee your heating system will need to be flushed through thoroughly. Powerflushing is the preferred method to do this. Prices start at around £300 for up to 10 radiators including all chemicals.

Dormouse uses an Adey Magnacleanse in addition to our powerflusher system for greater cleaning effect. The Magnacleanse magnetic filter system is used purely to save water making it more ecologically friendly.

Servicing

Once a year it is quite normal to have a gas appliance serviced. Think of it as an M.O.T. for your boiler or fire.

Not only will you have peace of mind that your equipment is burning safely, you'll also have a neat and complete history for when you come to sell your home. We will always complete the service history in the back of your boiler instruction manual.

Don't worry if you havn't got a set because for a small charge we can print a set for you. Just ask an engineer for details.

A routine service will usually include a stripdown, inspection, clean and analysis (using specialist equipment). As the newer type of boilers start to age they may require a new seal for the the burner chamber. You will be advised if your boiler requires a seal.

You in return will receive a safety certificate and, if required, a combustion analysis certificate and more importantly..... peace of mind.
